I picked up an older Savage 110 3006 for 100.00 dollars. My question is what kind of Savage 110 is it. The serial Number starts with a (F) the scope mounts are weaver type mounts that made on to the receiver. I was also told by the guy I got the gun from it was bought between 1985 and 1995. The gun looks like it has never been shot the action is smooth and the barrel is clean. 100.00 dollars for a gun I don’t think I could go wrong but who knows. No, you got a great deal. Walmart and Kmart both sold the Savage 110 but I don't know anything about the serial numbers.

I am going to try and call savage about the age I don’t think it more than 15 to 20 years old. The gun has a wood stock after taking it apart it looks like someone put an aftermarket trigger on it. It can be adjusted.

The gun also appeared to have been keep in a closet or in a truck when I took the stock off to clean it had a lot of surface rust on the receiver but no pitting. There are some small scratches on the stock but nothing to bad. The guy I got it from is left handed and did not like the right hand bolt. He got the gun from a family member. I have not shot it yet got to get a scope for it but I hope to do that in a few weeks.
