I am trying to do your suggested method but encounter the following problems: I visit Samsung website to get the Vista driver, but they use a driver upgrade application which require existing driver to be present before I can install the Vista driver manually. If I uninstall the the Windows 7 driver first, then the application to install Vista driver cannot work. Now I have tried to keep Windows 7 driver, and then run the driver update application in 'Vista compatibility mode', then restart.

But the DVD driver still cannot read any disc. Is there any work around or suggestions? Thank you for your assistance. Regards, Richard.
