HP have been terrible with support for this laptop. They were mighty expensive when they came out. And were the top of the line then - you'd expect a flagship laptop would be maintained. They didn't even release proper drivers for Windows 8, let alone 8.1. Autodesk Sketchbook Express For Windows 7. My fingerprint sensor has been dead since Windows 8. There were suggested workarounds (using newer laptop drivers) which did not work for me.

HP's Support is disgraceful and very much like Apple's attitude to slightly older models! Unlikely to ever buy HP again. They used to be great. What are all of you complaining about? It didn't come factory support for Win10 and you installed it and come complaining? One is to use the Support O/S that is support for that model. What you want and What comes Support are not the same.

So let's be realistic here. Win7 is not a NEW O/S and was released in 2009 not 2015. It has drivers up to Win8 and that is it-HP is under no illusion to keep making drivers for Old hardware and O/S drivers this is not sustainable when it no longer makes money for them. You either use the Support O/S or go Linux or Mac that will be your only choice-if you want Win10 then you need to contact Micosoft Support for that.
